The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) is the heart of Aotearoa New Zealand's cyber defence. We fulfil the cyber security responsibilities of the Government Communications Security Bureau (GCSB) | Te Tira Tiaki, to detect and disrupt high-impact cyber threats nationally.

We are looking for exceptional Analyst Systems & Security and Senior Analysts to join our forward-thinking team at the Frontline of National Cyber Defence. You'll play a pivotal role in the design, configuration, development and maintenance of specialist and high-impact software systems that support the critical functions of the NCSC.

**Key responsibilities**:
Contribute and participate in solution design and implementation
Provide technical support and guidance on systems used to meet stakeholder needs
Relationship management and stakeholder engagement
Measure and mitigate technical risks
The senior position will play a key part in the strategic design, enhancement and support procurement of additional capability as needs change

Who we're looking for
We're looking for people who can hit the ground running, navigate complexity with confidence and dive into unfamiliar systems with enthusiasm and precision. You'll also be able to build and maintain strong relationships.
Analyst Systems & Security
A tertiary qualification, preferably in a technical discipline (e.g. system engineering) or proven equivalent experience.
Experience maintaining Network infrastructure, and working knowledge of Linux systems.
Ability to implement under guidance security controls with a good understanding on how to mitigate threats.
Experience with DevOps and GitOps automation technologies.
Senior Analyst Systems & Security
Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) or proven equivalent experience.
Expert knowledge and experience of Linux administration.
Advance knowledge of Network Infrastructure including contributing to the design, implementation and management of Enterprise Network.
An advance understanding of security controls and how to mitigate threats.
Advance knowledge of containerization, virtualisation and cloud platforms.
Technical leadership in medium to large network projects.
Before you apply

**You must**:
Have been a New Zealand Citizen for at least 10 years
OR
Hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of the UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years
Be eligible to obtain a Top Secret Special (TSS) security clearance
Ordinarily, this means you'll have a 15 year checkable background in countries NZSIS Vetting can make meaningful and reliable checks.

**Senior Systems Analyst**: $120,358 - $128,383
