**About your team / Ko te tima**

The Risk and Assurance team is part of the Finance business unit and plays a vital role in supporting WorkSafe's daily operations. By providing expert advice and assurance processes, the team helps ensure compliance with legal obligations and Crown Entity expectations. Their work underpins the organisation's ability to meet its goals with confidence and integrity.

**About the role / O te turanga**

The Programme Delivery Lead - Risk is responsible for delivering WorkSafe's risk uplift plan and embedding change risk processes across key programmes. The role supports the building of internal risk capability and works closely with stakeholders to ensure risks are proactively identified, assessed and managed in alignment with the risk management framework. A key focus is embedding a risk-aware culture and ensuring risk ownership is transitioned sustainably across the organisation.

**What You'll Do/ Ko tou ake mahi**
- Lead the planning and execution of the risk uplift plan including the development of integrated risk change roadmaps that align with WorkSafe strategy priorities
- Drive communication and engagement strategies to embed a proactive and resilient risk culture across WorkSafe
- Oversee governance of risk change initiatives and ensure all risk change projects adhere to enterprise risk management principles
- Establish and finetune delivery mechanisms including quarterly planning, fortnightly sprints, daily stand-ups, showcase sessions, and governance and reporting.
- Promote risk awareness, accountability and ownership across WorkSafe
- Support the design and implementation of cultural change initiatives
- Measure success of risk change deliverables and identify opportunities for process automation

**What You'll Bring / Ko nga pukenga ou**
- Demonstrated expertise in risk management with proven experience in leading complex business process improvement initiatives
- A strong track record in developing and implementing organisation-wide risk uplift programmes
- Experience and a qualification as Chartered Accountant would be advantageous, ideally with a focus on risk management
- Confidence in guiding and supporting staff unfamiliar with change processes
- Exceptional communication and relationship building skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
- Proven ability to get up to speed with programmes already underway and deliver results at previously agreed milestones
- Experience in building risk profiles from ground up within low maturity and complex change or transformation environments
- Ability to translate strategic objectives into practical risk management approaches

**Salary range / Awhe utu**

As part of our remuneration framework the full salary range for the position is from $151,211 to $199,351 and our expected starting base salary for the right person is from $151,211 to $167,382. Note: KiwiSaver/SSRSS employer contribution is additional too/on top of your base salary.
