The Manager, Programme Delivery is a leadership role requiring deep programme delivery experience, leadership and expert relationship management skills.
This role provides direct leadership and coaching for our team of Programme Managers, as well as providing sound, strategic advice to the executive, senior leaders and sponsors on how to deliver programmes efficiently and cost effectively.

Mō te tūnga | About the role
The Manager, Programme Delivery is a key part of the EPMO leadership team and is focussed on ensuring we have the best Programme Management team we can, while ensuring our executive, senior leaders and sponsors are getting quality advice on how to deliver their strategic outcomes.
This role will be heavily focussed on delivery, value add and ensuring that we are at all times providing programme management services that continually lifts our maturity and capabilities.
This role would suit someone who has a great track record of pragmatic, fit four purpose delivery of change, can demonstrate a high degree of stakeholder / relationship management skills and has experience leading others and the ability to coach and mentor a team of programme delivery professionals.

Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bring

**Key requirements of the role include**:

- Lead Programme Managers effectively, creating a vision and clarity of purpose and for the programme delivery team and initiatives they are responsible for.
- Provide support and advice to relevant Senior Responsible Officer (SRO) and Governance Groups - including ensuring they receive the right advice and support which enables effective delivery.
- Provide strategic leadership, guidance and advice to SROs to translate Oranga Tamariki strategies into programme delivery plans.
- Ensure programme plans remain aligned to strategic outcomes and key performance indicators.
- Provide advice and leadership to Programme Managers with a focus on lifting programme and project delivery performance through strengthened management and delivery practices.
- Ensure that risks, dependencies and constraints are effectively managed and where required escalate issues to the SRO and Governance for resolution.
- Work with Programme Managers to ensure organisational delivery frameworks are applied consistently and effectively
- Ensure Programme Managers comply with reporting and governance requirements and work collaboratively with the Portfolio Governance team.
- Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices in particular; knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples' culture

Oranga Tamariki offer an impartial remuneration package, that offers progression annually for experience through tenure. Annual remuneration for this position starts between 196,799 and 244,999 dependent on experience.
