We have an opportunity for an experienced Asset Engineer, to join our team
**About the role | Ko te mahi nei**
The role is responsible for ensuring that 3 Waters assets are maintained, renewed and replaced in line with the guidelines included in the Council's Asset Management Policy, Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP) and Integrated 3 Waters Strategy. Key duties will include:
- Provide technical support and direction to planning, maintenance and operational staff.
- Prioritise, establish and brief individual projects for the implementation of asset management improvement.
- Ensure Asset Management documents and processes are robust, and up to date and provide the required clarity and detail to meet audit requirements.
- Identify opportunities for improving asset management maturity within the business and work to deliver the improvements.
**About you | Ko Koe Tēnei**
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Have a Tertiary Degree qualification in engineering (BE) or equivalent in the discipline.
- 10 years of professional experience within 3 Waters Infrastructure engineering/planning or other related area of expertise.
- Experience in the use of Asset Management Information Systems.
- Hold a current full, New Zealand Drivers Licence.
- Local government experience is highly desirable.
