You will ensure that engineering processes and deliverables that are related to infrastructure asset management are carried out to both company and contract standards. Day to day you’ll get involved in: - Educating and promoting asset management principles and processes to internal stakeholders - Collaborating with Contract and Asset Managers to develop training and technical capability around asset engineering - Providing input and work with the bid team on estimates and attributes for tenders and variations - Analysing data, treatment selection and the development of the forward works programmes this includes asset inventory and database management and oversight of data quality - Working with operational staff to ensure maintenance intervention strategies are followed and decisions are made with a "best for network" approach - Delivering all asset engineering tasks in the IMMS **Important Skills | Nga Pūkenga Matua** With a passion for the civil construction industry and a tertiary Engineering qualification (or equivalent), you’ll bring your proven industry experience and knowledge in advanced asset management. You’ll also have in your skills toolkit: - Experience and skills in asset management and/or data management software (RAMM) and the ability to understand and translate large amounts of data to usable information - as a minimum proven experience in Microsoft Excel and/or Access. - The ability to follow set processes and instructions with high attention to detail - Superior communication skills and ability to effectively communicate complex technical issues in a clear and rigorous manner to maximize impact - this is a budding leadership role, a perfect place to start out people leadership Proven ability to manage multifaceted supplier/service provider relationships and develop effective working relationships **Our Organisation | Ko wai mātou** Our Transport & Infrastructure business is a market leader, shaping and influencing the future of New Zealand’s infrastructure.
