**Kāpura are looking for full-time Assistant Venue Managers to join our team We are looking to fill vacancies across the Wellington region.**

With over 30 venues in the Wellington CBD and surrounding suburbs, Kāpura has venues to suit everyone. We are looking for AVMs to join teams in venues across the Wellington region - from our busy waterfront venues to our locally loved suburban venues We have a strong focus on career progression, so if you are looking for an environment where growth is encouraged, Kāpura is the place for you
- The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00 per hour depending on experience._
- This is a full-time position with a minimum expected week of 30 hours per week._
- Due to the nature of hospitality, we are a 7-day business, shifts will vary from morning to night and days will vary._

As the Assistant Venue Manager, your role is to run the establishment on a shift by shift basis, reporting directly to the Venue Manager. Your primary role is to be a fantastic host to our customers and the local community. We expect every staff member to know the names of all the locals and them to get to know you. You're expected to be able to manage a team, pushing them to execute Kāpura’s vision for providing exceptional customer experiences.

**What we’ll need from you**:

- An outstanding employment history in the hospitality industry is essential, with at least 2 years experience in hospitality
- A natural leader who can encourage their team
- A great communicator who is able to delegate tasks effectively
- The ability to be an awesome host and to create excellent customer experiences
- The ability to have strong control of a busy restaurant & bar
- A passion for good friendly service and an absolute pro on the floor and bar
- Ambition to make an awesome career for yourself within hospitality
