Calling All Duty Managers

The New Zealand Venue Co. family are looking for multiple talented and experienced Duty Managers to join our team and work across at our renowned Wellington venues. Our company’s rapid growth will provide you with multiple avenues to develop your career to its full potential

What we need from you:

- A passion for the hospitality industry
- Managers Certificate (LCQ) or the willingness to obtain one
- A friendly, enthusiastic, can-do attitude
- Capacity to work in a team environment while leading from the front
- Exceptional customer service and presentation skills
- Minimum of 3 years restaurant and bar service experience
- Flexible availability to work rostered shifts as our venues operate Monday to Sunday

What will your job duties include?
- Collaborative work with the Venue Management team to generate ideas for effective marketing campaigns
- Ensuring events, promotions, activations, and marketing initiative promote a positive customer experience
- Fostering positive customer relationships to drive sales and actively seeking and following through with function and marketing opportunities
- Ensure team members on shift are aware of their duties through effective communication of standards and expectations
- Manage and address all people issues quickly, effectively and in line with company processes
- Lead the team by example and promote a culture of respect when dealing with staff issues
- Managing team members on shift and providing effective feedback to drive performance
- Ensure compliance with OH&S legislation, policy and standards of Food Safety, Contractor Management and Incident and Injury Management
- Leading by example to promote a safe workplace through team awareness, training, and fostering a workplace culture free from bullying and harassment
- Basic financials, including cash up, labour control, EOD and EOW reporting
- Assisting in the recruitment of talent to highest possible standards
- Onboarding, developing, and training new team members to ensure all employees are familiar with Company policy and service requirements
- Coaching, training, and mentoring team members to develop skills and industry knowledge
