**Job Description**:
Reporting into the GM Distribution, your day to day will see you work closely with the DC Network nationwide to manage multiple sites (Wiri, Auckland and Rolleston, Christchurch), infrastructure, facilities, plants and grounds to required business and property owner standards within set budgets.

There is a real appetite for this individual to bring fresh eyes to the overall facilities management of the DC Network, leveraging strategic relationships with stakeholders and vendors to help lift the capability of the facilities management function within our DCs.

You will be leading leaders, will be expected to develop and lead a facilities maintenance and development strategy, and must be capable of developing sophisticated business cases around capital improvements, which may need to go to Board level.

Drawing on your toolkit of skills and proven experience your key objectives will be:

- Responsible for facilities management and HSW compliance of standalone logistics assets within the network.
- Ensure network compliance to all legal and business policies relating to HSW and Facilities.
- Manage site facilities managers and teams to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short and long-term strategic goals.
- Ensure all maintenance or building work completed across the network is planned and executed with the health, safety and wellbeing of those undertaking it, and the operations teams working within the area, at the forefront of the planning an execution of the work.
- Develop and deploy a 5-year network facilities strategy, engaging with operational teams to achieve a fit for purpose network of assets and support the future growth of the organisation
- Management of facilities and engineering contractors for key and strategic projects in line with contractual expectations, identifying opportunities to improve cost and quality, and lead the team similarly for BAU and smaller projects.
- Work with HSW for logistics and property functions to ensure an appropriate framework is in place to manage regular and project specific contractors to required standards of HSW compliance.
- Work with HSW to identify and implement process improvements and infrastructure projects on behalf of the operational network.
- Provide SME input into future state Logistics network projects to establish best in class design for new and reconditioned assets.
- Bring through sustainability-based improvements to help achieve business goals in this area, and ensure all projects align with TWG’s sustainability goals.

**Qualifications**:

- Approx 10 years experience in a Facilities Management role and experience in contracted maintenance management.
- Experience working with contractor controls systems such as permit to work, JSA, SWMS etc.
- Experience in financial management, budgeting and planning
- Sound working knowledge of Health and Safety at Work Act (2015) and contemporary practices in H&S.
- Leadership skills and ability to manage teams of people
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build excellent internal and external relationships
- A high degree of organisation and a commitment to continuous learning.
- Good working knowledge of relevant property and building compliance legislation, along with building maintenance and contract management proficiency
- Experience in contract management delivery, compliance as well as supplier management
- Relevant property and/or facilities management related degree qualification (preferred)
