In the role of Project Engineer, reporting directly to the Project Manager you will be able to manage all aspects of the civil and structural operation. Initially based on one of our Canterbury projects, you will have the opportunity to develop and maintain strong client relationships, liaise with the public and prepare progress and claim reports. You will also have a quality and safety ethos and perform audits and checks to ensure compliance with Health & Safety, quality and environmental policies.

This role demands flexibility as there will be opportunities to work around the South Island, Milford Sound/ Southland, Queenstown, Blenheim and Christchurch to name a few. We have multiple projects and we are looking for individuals with the following skills and experience:

- A formal civil engineering qualification (BE, NZDE) is preferable
- 5 + years' experience in a civil engineering position
- Ideally experienced with bulk earthwork, concrete and civil construction
- Experience in reviewing technical drawings and design is desirable
- Excellent organisational skills and demonstrated customer relationship management skills
- Sound project or engineering operations experience, including budget management
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent computer skills
- A self-starter, highly motivated and goal oriented
- Strong commitment to Health & Safety initiatives
- Willing to learn and build your career in a fast-developing regional business
