Permanent Full-Time position available
The Waitemata Central Team oversee the patient flow for North Shore and Waitakere Hospital, along with resource management for both sites and Emergency Management response when required. Within this service is the Duty Nurse Manager service who provide management afterhours. This new Access Manager role for Waitakere will co-ordinate and manage service activities to deliver high quality, cost effective care for patients and families/whanau. You will effectively contribute as a member of the Waitemata Central management team across Waitematā in line with the business plan and the organisations strategic direction. You will have been working in Management roles previously and you will provide leadership and management to ensure staff are able to contribute effectively to the achievement of service objectives and performance targets.
The Waitakere Duty Nurse Manager team will be reporting to you and leadership of this afterhours team will be ensuring they are part of any access and flow initiatives. So you will be driving the strategic, tactical and operational change needed to improve access to care and patient flow across the campus.
