Waitemata Central has a new and exciting role commencing within our service. The patient flow Manager will facilitate a systems focused approach to patient flow to understand, identify and resolve delays to patient care. This position will ensure the delivery of high quality, safe and timely access to care for patients within North Shore Hospital.
The position will ensure a seamless patient journey through the hospital and facilitate patient flow across the organisation, responding to fluctuations in demand and
capacity in a safe and timely manner. They will visit care delivery areas regularly and note workload and capacity trends through the shift. This position will take immediate action to assist patient flow from Emergency Department/ADU's and other areas to the wards and escalates operational concerns via Waitematā Central to the Waitemata Central Access Manager and Service Operations Managers.
We are looking at a senior nurse with at least five years' experience in an acute hospital setting. You will need excellent problem solving skills to manage the day to day capacity and demand and optimise patient flow for North Shore Hospital. You will be working Monday to Friday and a mix of am and pm shifts for the x2 FTE.
