**Accounts Payable Specialist/System Tech 1 (Temporary - 6 months)**
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated **Accounts Payable** **Specialist,** (System Tech 1) to join their finance team on a temporary basis for a duration of 6 months. In this hybrid role, you will play a crucial role in managing the company’s AP financial transactions while also providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance for our accounting systems.
This is a temporary position for a duration of 6 months. The compensation for this role is **$40.00** per hour, with an additional 8% per hour.
**Responsibilities**:
- Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Review and verify invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports for accuracy, completeness, and proper authorization.
- Resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate payments.
- Perform reconciliations of accounts payable transactions.
- Maintain vendor records, including updating contact information and payment terms.
- Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
- Provide technical support for the company’s accounting systems, including troubleshooting and resolving user issues.
- Collaborate with IT and finance teams to implement system upgrades and enhancements.
- Support the implementation and improvement of accounts payable processes and systems.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, information systems, or a related field **(or equivalent work experience).**:
- Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable principles and practices.
- Technical aptitude and experience providing system support or troubleshooting assistance.
- Knowledge of accounting systems and their functionalities.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective time management and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of relevant accounting regulations and best practices.
