About the role | Te Whiwhinga mahi- NZEI Te Riu Roa is looking for a Trade Union Field Officer to join our team. You will report to the Lead Organiser and your role will include:
- Planning for regular contact and visibility for your assigned worksites/member groups- Implement campaign and sector strategies to achieve union goals in your region- Identifying, development and coaching of member leaders.
Skills and experience | Nā tāu rourou- Strong relational skills to manage worksite, group and member leader relationships- Has experience working in union or social-impact organisation working to give people the tools to advocate for their cause- A current driver’s licence- An interest in publicly-funded education, commitment to Te Tiriti, unionism and social justice- Demonstrated ability to work flexibly in a team situation.
