**About the team**:
Cryptographic Solutions & Development (CSD) maintains responsibility for an area vital to New Zealand's security and way of life by undertaking GCSB's role to keep classified NZ Government communications secure, and is currently on a path to implement new ways of working, new systems, and improved business flows - combining together to bring what we do into the 21st century.

**About the role**:
We are looking for a National Key Manager to join our newly established Cryptographic Operations team within the wider Cryptographic Solutions & Development team.
In this role, you will be responsible for New Zealand's controlled cryptographic information assurance material. You will contribute to the national security of New Zealand through the production and distribution of New Zealand sovereign controlled cryptographic material to New Zealand Government Agencies and nominated organisations that have significant national information infrastructures.

**About you**:
To achieve success, we need someone with an interest in cryptographic operations who works well in a small team, is flexible, agile, shows great creativity, and pragmatism with a great eye for detail.

**Our dream person will have experience in one (or all) of**:

- Asset management
- Server, Network, and PC Configuration & Administration
- Have the ability to work across multiple agencies and experience levels
- Is energetic, enthusiastic and physically active

**In addition to**:

- Experience in the use and configuration of Cryptographic Equipment
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- The ability to work across multiple topics and technologies
- Exceptional communication and relationship management skills
- A high level of attention to detail, accuracy, and judgment
- A Tertiary qualification in a Technology or Computer Science field

To be eligible for employment within the NZIC you must have been a NZ citizen for at least 10 years. Alternatively you must hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years.
