We at **New World Waihi** are looking for a **Produce 2IC **to join our awesome team.

**Location - New World Waihi**

**Job type - Full Time**

**Duration - Permanent**

**Minimum guaranteed hours - 40 hours per week**

**Salary - $30.00 to $35.00 per hou**r (Wages dependent on experience)**

**Key responsibilities**:

- Assist with the overall management of the department.
- Assist in ensuring business and specific department targets are met
- Ensuring that operational delivery standards are met.
- Assist in controlling the ordering for Department through effective use of the in-store purchasing systems.
- Liaising with suppliers to ensure that all stock is sourced through approved suppliers, all orders placed on time and all products are checked on arrival for quality.
- Ensuring appropriate stock control and stock-taking processing are in place.
- Assist in ensuring sales and GP targets for the department are met.
- Monitoring sales and creating opportunities to increase sales.
- Ensuring Foodstuffs New World promotional and pricing programs are adopted.
- Handling customer inquiries and complaints.
- Managing assigned activities, promotions and initiatives within plan, budget and resource deployment delegations.
- Meeting annual, monthly and weekly targets and review the sales, gross profit, contribution to profit and cost targets in line with the store targets with the department manager.
- Managing the department staff effectively by adhering to appropriate in-store policies and procedures.
- Implementing policies and compliance relevant to the Health & Safety and employment laws.

**To be considered for this role you will need**:

- One year of previous experience in a supervisory/managerial role in a Produce Department.
- Experience in using SAP software.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- High attention to detail
- A 'can do' attitude with flexibility, and a desire to contribute positively to our team
- Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, be able to multitask and prioritize tasks.
- Legal right to work in New Zealand.
