Checkout Supervisor

We are looking for **Checkout Supervisor** to join our Checkout Team at **New World Waihi**.

We pride ourselves in providing excellent customer service.

**The Key Responsibilities will be**:

- Working with the Checkout Manager, 2IC and other Supervisors to lead the Checkout team.
- Working with the Checkout Manager and Assistant Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Checkout department.
- Doing varying tasks which may include checkout operating, managing Self-Checkout lanes and Express lanes, packing, cleaning, and trolleys.
- Being in sole charge of Checkout department and being responsible for opening and closing the Checkout department as required

**You must meet the following skills and experience requirements**:

- MUST have managed staff.
- Experience in retail preferably in a position with responsibility or a supervisory role.
- Customer service driven - you’ll spend a lot of time helping our customers.
- A commitment to excellent customer service.
- To be physically fit - you’ll be on your feet all day and moving between Checkouts.
- Great communication, leadership and team building skills.
- Having a strong work ethic and be able to work well under pressure, honest and very reliable.
- Great organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks as required.

Total hours will be 32 hours. Days & Times of work will be as per following:
Wednesday: 10:30am-7pm

Thursday: 10:30am-7pm

Friday: 9am-5:30pm

Saturday: 12:30-9pm
