The opportunity:
To ensure that all customers receive an experience that assists them through the claims process. You will exhibit professionalism, fairness, and operate with urgency for the customer at all times. The Claims Specialist is responsible for the assessment, decision and accurate payment of Life and Trauma claims through liaison with key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing lump sum risk claims, such as Life and Trauma- Building and maintaining excellent relationships with clients, advisers and all relevant parties as required- Liaising with all relevant parties, including medical providers, to obtain consultation notes and other claim information- Communicating decisions to clients, advisers and other relevant parties that are respectful, clear and understandable- Accurately inputting and authorising payments, following internal processes- Presenting cases to the relevant Committee if necessary, Claims Manager, and Medical Advisor for signoff and/or guidance as required

Ideally, you'll bring:
- Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal- The ability to work autonomously- A positive attitude- Strong health, administrative or insurance industry experience- Proven claims experience - particularly Trauma claims (preferred)
