Despatch Supervisor

**About the role**:
The role of the Despatch Supervisor is to develop, administer and lead the bulk dispatch processes and procedures within Repco distribution. This includes but is not limited to: documentation processing, shipment processing, quality measurement and control, contributing to the delivery of key initiatives and providing support to the Distribution team to ensure targets are achieved.

Collaborative communication between Distribution, Logistics, Support Office and Network Operations is of critical importance, and is pivotal to ensuring that service levels to internal and external customers are concise, professional and timely.

**You will be someone who can**:

- Maintain a workplace that is safe and does not risk the health of staff or visitors and does not damage the environment.
- Distribute stock to branches in accordance with sales and marketing plans.
- Ensure all outbound goods are dispatched in accordance with all statutory legislation.
- Take action to build relationships between one’s area and other areas, teams, departments, units or organizations to help achieve business goals.
- Be responsible for timely and accurate payment of wages for your team. Payroll information is accurately recorded and sent to the Pay Office within the prescribed timeframes.
- Improve operational efficiencies whilst improving and maintaining service levels to customer expectations.
- Utilise warehouse staff and resources to achieve productivity targets.
- Ensure key Performance Indicators are constantly measured and compared and a program of review and improvement is in place.

**What we are looking for**:

- Demonstrated experience of ability to lead & communicate
- Experience within similar distribution environment (advantageous)
- People management and leadership skills
- Warehouse management experience
- Previous exposure to health and safety legislation and policy implementation
- Ability to read and interpret financial reports.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Sound working knowledge of computers and associated software products
- Preferably holds a current forkhoist safe operator certificate
