**About our Opportunity**

We’re looking for an experienced leader to supervise our team of storespersons at our finished goods warehouse facilities, near Auckland Airport. It’s an exciting time to join us as we open a second warehouse facility to accommodate our growing business in New Zealand

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this role provides front-line supervision of the storepersons team, and is responsible for the effective planning and coordination of their daily workload to ensure that all customer orders are despatched in full and on time.

Key responsibilities include:

- Maintaining visibility of workload both upcoming and in progress, and allocating staff resource accordingly (e.g. picking, putaway, replenishment, devanning, and consolidation requirements)
- Ensuring daily pick accuracy targets are communicated and met, with discrepancies raised immediately
- Embedding a Health & Safety culture, maintaining front-line responsibility for Health & Safety within the warehouse, acting as a primary point of contact for safety on the warehouse floor
- Ensuring that warehouse storespersons are familiar with, and adhere to, policies and procedures, addressing issues of non-compliance in conjunction with Warehouse Manager and HR as required
- Ensuring all staff, including any temporary staff, are inducted and trained, and understand all required SOPs and work instructions, as well as assisting in the ongoing training and development of the team
- Actively participating in running warehouse toolbox meetings
- Identifying and implementing continuous improvement and cost reduction opportunities
- Daily manifesting of connotes, and ensuring that all CHEP dockets are raised for all connotes / manifests
- Developing and maintaining close contact with freight companies, advising of daily volumes
