Engineering New Zealand Te Ao Rangahau is the professional home for engineers in New Zealand. As a membership organisation and the Registration Authority for Chartered Professional Engineers, we represent more than 22,000 members from graduates through to experts in their field. **About the role | Kōrero mō te tūranga**
In this role you will continue to grow our professional development portfolio by providing advice on emerging learning practices, and creating high quality, relevant and engaging learning activities, such as online learning modules, webinars and in-house training. You will work closely with the Learning Partnerships Manager to ensure the content is relevant and progressive.
Key aspects of the role will include:
- Liaising with presenters to ensure their content is meeting organisational requirements and adult educational principals
- Collaborating with external stakeholders to identify training needs and opportunities
- Creating training materials and resources
- Mentoring and coaching of team members
- Monitoring and evaluating training effectiveness, and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest industry trends and training methods
**Desired skills and experience | Ngā tino pūkenga/whēako**
You will bring your previous experience in a Learning Development role along with your understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design. The role will interest someone who enjoys working with others to ensure the courses being delivered are engaging and of a high standard.
Amongst your key strengths will be:
- Expertise in e-learning authoring tools, Articulate Storyline and Rise
- Expertise in using Adobe Creative Suite, audio/video editing and production and image creation and editing
- The ability to work collaboratively with teams and stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication with the ability to navigate difficult conversations when needed
- The ability to work effectively with people at all levels
- Great organisational skills with accuracy and an attention to detail
- A terrific work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude
