The role of Lead Coordinator involves planning and coordinating recreation programmes and events, social Play/Sports, competitions, and before-school, after-school and school holiday programmes, working with the community to design and develop recreation projects, prepare budgets and write reports and proposals, hire, train and supervise volunteers and staff, advise councils and commissions on recreation planning and policies, advise and assist community groups to develop recreation programmes and events. In addition to your role, you will need to be able to be a confident speaker and build relationships with different types of people. This will mean putting yourself in uncomfortable positions at times and sometimes going above and beyond to make our participants feel a sense of belonging. Key requirements: - Love working with people - Have skills and background in facilitating games and activities - Are leaders that can direct a team - Has a minimum restricted driver license - Excellent organisation and communication skills - Proficient in using G suite apps e.g. docs, sheets etc - Familiar with social media marketing skills - Can work weekends and evenings
