Wellington City, New Zealand HAYS Full time

Temporary opportunity for a Schedule Coordinator based in Wellington

**Your new company**
This public sector organisation is dedicated to delivering high-quality and essential services to Wellingtonians and the wider Wellington region. They are seeking a dedicated and organised Schedule Coordinator to join their team for an initial period of 3 months, with plenty of opportunity for extensions or to go permanent in the future. This position is available to start immediately, but a notice period can be considered.

**Your new role**
As a Schedule Coordinator, you will be responsible for assisting with the management of rosters and schedules of the frontline staff in this organisation.

This will involve:

- Planning, recording, accessing and changing rosters
- Assisting with leave requests and other absences
- Ensure all rostered staff have the appropriate security and identity cards
- Provide administrative support to other coordinators
- Communicate with the Payroll team regarding timesheets

**What you'll need to succeed**
You will have experience managing staff rosters, ideally from a customer service environment. You will need to be able to adjust the rosters based on leave and availability, so a high level of problem-solving and organisation skills are necessary. All rosters are managed using Microsoft Excel, so strong working knowledge of Excel is important.

**What you'll get in return**
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to move out of the hospitality or retail space and take your skills into a corporate environment. This is a public sector organisation so is a great chance for you to get a foot-in-the-door in this space.

**What you need to do now**

If this job isn't quite right for you but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion on your career.

Please note that this organisation requires their staff to be able to provide a COVID-19 Vaccination Pass or a valid exemption. #2676561
