**What's the job?**

InterGroup are New Zealand's Infrastructure and Industrial Services specialists, delivering services in waste management, industrial and coatings and infrastructure. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll oversee daily waste and environmental service operations while also driving strategic growth across the Canterbury region. You’ll be responsible for **leading field teams**, ensuring **safe and efficient service delivery**, and **building lasting relationships** with clients and industry stakeholders.

**What You'll be doing**:
**Operational Leadership**
- Lead planning and execution of services to ensure timely, compliant delivery
- Manage and support field staff to foster a high-performance, safety-first culture
- Optimise systems, processes, and resource use to improve efficiency
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
- Act as a trusted partner to clients on-site and post-delivery

**Sales and Business Development**
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships
- Identify growth opportunities and turn them into real business
- Prepare quotes, proposals, and tenders with a focus on profitability and deliverability
- Represent our brand at industry events and in the community
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to stay ahead

The technical stuff you'll need includes:

- Proven experience leading operations in waste, environmental services, or civil construction
- Exposure to sales or client-facing roles with an ability to develop and convert opportunities.
- Strong understanding of compliance and safety standards in waste/environmental operations.
- Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Confident in leading teams and engaging with clients at all levels.
