**About the role**
We're on the lookout for energetic, customer-focused Customer & Sales Representatives to join our dynamic Home team, based in our modern Hamilton Central office.
In this varied role, you'll be the first point of contact for Genesis customers—providing exceptional service while also driving new customer acquisition through both inbound and outbound channels. You'll be part of a collaborative team that's passionate about delivering a seamless customer experience and achieving meaningful sales outcomes. Paid training kicks off on September 1st. Once you are established and performing in your role, hybrid working arrangements can be discussed.
Some of the key responsibilities are:
- Providing end-to-end customer support, with a focus on first-call resolution
- Acquiring new residential customers via inbound and outbound contact channels
- Following up on leads and converting opportunities into sales
- Meeting and exceeding individual sales and service KPIs
- Accurately managing customer information and sales outcomes across multiple systems
- Handling a variety of energy service-related enquiries with confidence and care
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure a consistent and high-quality customer journey
- Engaging with Genesis Safety & Wellness practices to support a safe and healthy workplace
**About you**
You're confident, adaptable, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You love helping people, solving problems, and are motivated by achieving results—whether that's through service excellence or closing a sale.
You'll also bring:
- 2+ years of experience in a contact centre or customer-facing role (sales or service)
- A proven track record of hitting performance targets
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer literacy and the ability to learn new systems quickly
- Resilience, adaptability, and a proactive mindset
- A structured and organised approach to work
- NCEA Level 2 or equivalent qualification
