**Description**:
Sanford is focused on establishing and operating high-performance separate business units (SBUs/divisions) within its organisational structure. The SBUs are responsible and accountable for their own performance and are charged with delivering high levels of divisional output as well as execution of corporate strategy and policy.

**About the role**:
This role will be an integral member of the Wildcatch SBU and be responsible for working closely with the Group Manager Wildcatch and the wider Wildcatch team to provide leadership in the execution and delivery of Timaru land based operational outcomes, and in doing so meet the expectations of the wider Wildcatch business plan.

Assisting the division to meet its strategic objectives, the role of Timaru Operations Manager will support and further develop an operational culture that drives continual improvement within operations, through clear standards and accountability whilst caring for and building the capability of our people. As an exceptional people leader, fostering an environment that empowers others will come naturally, along with bringing cross functional teams together to execute plans.

This role reports directly to the Group Manager Wildcatch and plays an active role directly supporting the GM Wildcatch in a broad range of operational and business leadership areas.

This is an exciting time to join our organisation in this newly created management position.

**What you need to be successful in this role**:
Ideally you will have a tertiary or other relevant industry qualification/s with proven operational and leadership management experience in a seafood or food production/manufacturing environment with robust compliance processes. Solid project management experience along with an openness to finding innovative solutions to a variety of problems are the key to being successful in this role. Your varied background, broad range of skills and most importantly the right attitude will hold you in good stead. Influential leadership to build effective relationships, and resilience to deal with unforeseen challenges are critical.
