**About the role**

We are looking for a new Bar Manager to lead this busy bar and continue to make it hum. Youll have a proven track record and know how to cashier, pour a mean Guinness and a have good knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beers and wines. You will need to be an organised Manager with good communication skills, so your day-to-day tasks are planned and completed well. This is full-time permanent employment with minimum 35 hours a week and pay rate varies from NZ$ 26to NZ$ 28/hour.

Duties are varied, active, and stimulating. You will have a positive can-do attitude and enjoy enriching the lives of our customers, doing everything with kindness and a smile.

**You will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards**:

- Ensuring that the venue adheres to its obligations under the Sale of Alcohol Act 2012, as well as its obligations as set forth in the liquor licence and all other relevant policies
- Help with training new staff and managing and Liaising with staff.
- Working on the drinks program and budgeting wage costs and liquor costs.
- Actively participating in recruiting, selecting, and rostering and training FOH staff.
- Motivating and helping to lead all staff, whilst setting a personal example.
- Implementing high standards regarding food and beverage service in terms of presentation, taste, timely service etc.
- Preparing and implementing marketing, promotions, and advertising strategies to improve the business performance.
- Ordering, receiving, storing, selling, counting and controlling all stock according to venue policies including selecting and costing stock.
- Complaints resolutions to ensure the customer expectations are met.
- Ensuring the venue is kept clean and tidy and all health, food and safety standards are met.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ideally in more than just English.
- Proven track record of delivering results within a highly competitive, customer-focused, cost-driven environment.
- Positive and friendly attitude, and a deep understanding and compassion for the growth of your team and the business as a whole.
- Will be able to work closely with the kitchen, bar, floor staff and work collaboratively and seamlessly, and get results.
- Liquor License is mandatory requirement.
