**Description**
We are a Caf Restaurant & Bar located in Kaiapoi, bringing together New Zealand and European cuisine, in a comfortable modern setting located in Kaiapoi. We offer a brunch menu, a la Carte menu that changes seasonally, as well as keto, gluten-free, vegan and other special options. We are looking for two enthusiastic Cooks to join our team. And we can provide you a supportive and collaborative work environment as well as on-the-job training and development opportunities.
**Job description**:
- Prepare and cook dishes such as appetizers, entrees, and desserts, in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
- Follow food safety and hygiene practices to ensure the cleanliness and safety of food preparation areas and equipment.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
- Maintain inventory of food supplies and equipment and inform management when supplies need to be reordered.
- Monitor and manage food waste to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and work areas to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
- Assist in menu planning and development as required.
