**What you’ll be doing**:
Chorus is proud to be New Zealand’s leading telecommunications infrastructure company. The legal team sits within the wider Corporate, Regulatory and Legal Affairs function (CaRLA) which also includes Chorus’ procurement, regulatory policy, audit and risk, sustainability and corporate relations teams. The legal team navigates an extensive suite of new and legacy regulatory obligations and uniquely challenging market dynamics. Working with a team of incredibly talented lawyers, you will provide legal advice to support the delivery of Chorus’ strategic priorities.

Here’s what some of your days will look like:

- Support the delivery of pragmatic, high quality legal advice to Chorus on a wide range of issues including the regulatory framework, contractual negotiations, product development and sales and marketing initiatives;
- Work collaboratively with key business partners and others in CaRLA to support the delivery of Chorus’ strategic objectives;
- Help communicate Chorus’ legal and regulatory obligations in a way that facilitates business understanding to promote compliance;
- Work with our external legal and economic advisors and engage with external stakeholders including the Commerce Commission.

**What you’ll bring to the table**:
To do well in this role, you will have a few years of experience in a legal firm or in-house ideally with some exposure to telecommunications or regulated utility businesses.
