They have an opening in their small legal team for a Legal Counsel and a Legal Executive role due to an internal promotion of one of their team and increased legal work required to implement their responsibilities under the new Pae Ora Act.

**Mō tēnei tūranga | About the Role**

As Legal Counsel, working closely with the General Counsel, legal team and wider business. You will work on a range of matters such as:

- Reviewing and amending a range of contracts and other agreements
- Supporting implementation of Pharmac’s core strategies, including Māori and Pacific health strategies
- Providing legal training for kaimahi

**About you**

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

- Minimum Bachelor of Laws qualification and a current New Zealand practising certificate
- At least 2 years’ post qualification experience in a common law jurisdiction
- Contract/commercial experience
- An understanding of te ao Māori is highly advantageous
- Some private sector experience would be beneficial

The salary range for this position is $101,807 - $152,711, with the midpoint being $127,259.

Pharmac offers flexible working arrangements, generous professional development support as well as five weeks annual leave, three additional days leave over the Christmas break and an annual hauora (wellbeing) allowance.

Pharmac also has a Māori caucus that is open to all kaimahi at Pharmac who whakapapa Māori.
