**About the Role**:
In this key role as an Experienced Occupational Therapist, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Utilize your extensive clinical experience, having more than 8 years of hands-on practice.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the health needs of our Mori and Pacific Island communities, ensuring culturally responsive and patient-centered care.
- Demonstrate exceptional skills in building rapport with patients and their whnau (extended family) from all backgrounds, providing them with the support and guidance they need.
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop personalized treatment plans to enhance patients' functional abilities and overall well-being.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, fostering a collaborative approach to patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, ensuring compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
- Possess a valid New Zealand driver's license, as mobility may be required for certain patient visits or off-site engagements.

**About the company**:
Our client's team is currently made up of 13 occupational therapists, with 6 team members in the rotational group. The team is expanding to meet increasing demand. They work in the acute setting, assessing and treating patients to contribute to successful discharges and acute hospital flow. They are part of a wider ORA team that has 53 occupational therapists working across community, outpatients and rehabilitation settings. The team is supported by a dynamic team of Allied Health Assistants.
**We are looking for someone who has**:
- Registration and current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) with the Occupational Therapy Board NZ.
- A minimum of 8 years of clinical experience, showcasing your expertise and mastery in the field.
- A clear understanding of the health needs of our Mori and Pacific Island communities, along with the ability to provide culturally appropriate care.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong rapport with patients and their whnau.
- A valid New Zealand driver's license, enabling mobility and flexibility in delivering community-based care.
