**About the role**
We're seeking an experienced Communications Manager to provide leadership and strategic direction for our communications function. The key focus areas for the role include:
- Leading the business-wide communication strategy, both internally and externally.
- Enhancing LIC's profile through effective stakeholder engagement, reputation and relationship management.
- Supporting excellent internal culture and communications, bringing to life our strategy and values to all our people and keeping them informed and engaged.
- Partnering closely with the business, including the executive team, to provide advice and guidance.
- Leading a high performing team
The role provides the opportunity to join a progressive and forward-thinking organisation, at the cutting edge of agri-tech. This is a pivotal role, which has the support of the business and senior leaders, who understand the value the communications function brings to LIC. The team you will lead are highly engaged and genuinely passionate about telling LIC's story.
**About you**
As a seasoned comms professional, you'll have experience supporting and informing at an executive level, as well as building strong collaborative relationships throughout the organisation. You'll easily develop effective networks and relationships with key stakeholders, including media, and leverage from these relationships to magnify LIC's voice.
To ensure your success, you will demonstrate:
- Senior-level strategic communications experience
- Proven experience advising and influencing at an exec level
- Strong networking capability, exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Proven track record in leading effective communication strategies
- A strategic mind-set and ability to consider long-term and broader implications
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to achieve success through others
- A sharp commercial acumen
- Experience within primary industries would be advantageous
