We’re looking for an exceptional Marketing Communications and Stakeholder Engagement advisor to join our passionate public transport team.

With Te Huia the train and an ever-growing bus network in Hamilton and the regions, we need you on board to help us make public transport a preferred choice for Waikato residents.

It’s a given that you’re a skilled communicator and relationship builder. You can write - for print and digital, and you’re confident at public speaking and leading stakeholder engagement activities. You can plan and implement successful events. You’re a digital marketing whizz.

As a Marketing Communications specialist, you’re skilled in identifying the right channels to get the best cut through, consistency of messages, and effective and affordable campaigns. You’ll be working with both external marketing agencies and the internal council design team to plan and implement launch campaigns for public transport services.

**To be successful in this role you will be able to**:

- Work in a highly collaborative environment, with multiple stakeholders
- Excellent relationship management skills
- See the big picture, as well as pay attention to detail
- Think outside the box, creating innovative multi-channel communications
- Put the customer at the heart of everything you do
- Manage multiple projects at once, working with a diverse range of people

**Qualifications and experience**
- A relevant tertiary level degree in Marketing or business equivalent
- Previous experience in a Marketing, Stakeholder Engagement role ideal
- Transport, public service, or local government experience preferable
