**About the role**:
The Business Risk & Compliance Manager is responsible for supporting the first line of defence activities within the Business by providing advice, insights, and guidance. This role is about making risk management easy and integrating risk management to promote better outcomes, compliance, and assurance.

The role reports to the Manager Group Risk & Compliance and works closely and collaboratively with the Risk & Compliance Office which acts as a centre of excellence for risk management and compliance at ACC.

**Key activities will include**:

- Engaging with operational teams and assisting them to identify, analyse, assess, and treat risks
- Work alongside business stakeholders to embed and maintain good risk management practises that inform decision making and support performance
- Quality reviews of risk registers, controls, treatment plans and compliance activities
- Analysis and reporting on risks and risk management activities
- Monitoring and reporting on progress with treatments/control and actions arising from risk and compliance activities.

**We are looking for an experienced risk professional, with a mix of the following skills**:

- First line of defence, hands on experience, preferably in a large, complex operational environment
- Ability to engage with customers across the organisation
- A trusted advisor capable of providing effective challenge and support in the delivery of good practise risk management
- Ability to analyse risk information and provide actionable insights
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing and to present information in the format most appropriate for your audience.

The base salary range for this role is $114,022 - $160,972 with appointment depending on skills and experience. ACC also offers 9% superannuation.
