A permanent opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Academic Student Support to join our Auckland team, in a part time FTE capacity. Reporting through to our Auckland Campus Director, this position is a pivotal role within our organization dedicated to key points of the role.

**Key Responsibilities of the role include**
- Managing physical and online learning environments that are welcoming to students from diverse backgrounds, and which support and enhance the student learning experience.
- Delivering face to face and web-based information literacy programmes and learning support to student groups and individuals.
- Supporting student learning by developing resources and activities that use emerging technologies.
- Identifying barriers that affect students’ integration into student and academic life at EIT and develop strategies to address those issues.
- Monitoring and reinforcing study requirements, assessment requirements and tutor/lecturer requirements.
- Guiding students to appropriate support and, where needed, act as a reference point to other services that will meet student needs.
- Investigating ways to improve the provision and success of the service and complete administration requirements.
- Ideally you will be experienced in working with students from a wide range of cultures and ethnicities and be a highly confident user of learning technologies and social media in an academic setting.
- It is essential that you possess the ability to make use of emerging technologies to deliver services in engaging, accessible and affordable ways and have experience in designing, developing and providing information literacy and learning support to students in the tertiary education environment.
