We have an opportunity for a Head of Pacifc Operations to build a network of Pacfic hospital teams that will be embedded within tertiary hospital services. The Head of Pacifc Operations will lead quality, multi-disciplinary and culturally responsive care in these Pacific hospital teams.
The hospital teams will focus on enhanced clinical pathways, continuity of care, service improvement and support culturally specific services. In this vital mahi, the Head of Pacific Operations will work closely with Hospitals & Specialist Services Regional Directors to influence and advise on Pacific change initiatives within hospital settings, work that will have a direct impact on driving better outcomes for Pacific families.
This role will lead and foster a high level of functional, cultural, and technical expertise within a primarily clinical focused team, that recognises the requirements of Pacific health clinical operating environment. This includes supporting teams to understand Pacific family-based models of care and what cultural safety is from multiple-Pacific perspectives.

You are an experienced people leader who always has a deep commitment to seeing your staff develop and thrive. Your career has seen you working to create opportunities for career progression for all the Pacific teams within your sphere of influence, and you thrive on coaching and securing pathways for Pacific talent to develop.
You have experience working with senior clinical leaders and networks, and practical knowledge of successfully developing and delivering a Pacific-led work programme. You are confident in operating effectively at a senior executive level, and have a solid understanding of emerging technologies in the health intelligence field.
Most importantly you are passionate about leading change that will ensure equitable outcomes for Pacific people and improving patient outcomes within a Pacific cultural environment.

**You will have**:
- Experience in delivering health outcomes for Pacific communities.
- A relevant graduate and post-graduate qualification, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience in leading and managing change, with the ability to effectively communicate and implement new processes and initiatives.
- A superior understanding of clinical processes and best practices, and knowledge of clinical pathways and their role in improving patient outcomes within a Pacific cultural environment.
- Excellent analytical skills backed up with experience using data to inform decision-making and evaluation of the effectiveness of clinical pathway improvement initiatives.
- Proven ability to work independently while also effectively leading a team of analysts, story tellers and story collectors to deliver projects and influence national design.
- Experience leading cross-functional projects and managing timelines, budgets, and resources.
- Demonstrated ability as an inspirational leader who is an effective communicator and is comfortable addressing stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
