We pride ourselves in being innovative, forward thinking and up to date with technology and change. The Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Unit undertakes 12,000+ diagnostic and interventional endoscopy procedures per year and provides other gastrointestinal services to the Canterbury population. It is a secondary and tertiary referral service for the South Island, with a strong research programme that is recognised internationally, in addition to an active undergraduate and postgraduate medical teaching programme. The Enteral Feeding CNS team is responsible for the co-ordination and delivery of the enteral feeding services at Waitaha, Canterbury. They are autonomous practitioners, leaders, role models and a clinical resource, who positively affect patient outcomes and influence organisational throughput through primary and secondary assessment, education and endoscopic intervention. **Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience** Ideally you will have at least 5 years - experience in a medical, surgical or endoscopy speciality and the ability to develop and lead a nursing care model that supports enteral feeding service requirements. You will provide clinical leadership, role model to others and promote clinical excellence in this area of nursing. You will act as a specialist resource for patients, their family and whanau, medical practitioners and nurses. **Ko wai koe | About You** This is an exciting opportunity for expert registered nurses, looking to take the next step in their career, who are passionate about people and who can work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure, high quality, patient centred care is delivered to our enteral feeding patients to improve their health outcomes. - You will be an experienced nurse, with at least 5 years relevant clinical experience in either a medical, surgical or endoscopy specialty. - Proven leadership skills with a solution focused approach, and the ability to implement a nursing care model that educates, supports and encourage others within the wider team to achieve common service goals. - You will be able to demonstrate a commitment to continuous quality improvement. - Have Expert level PDRP (or equivalent) and hold or be actively working towards a relevant Post-graduate qualification. - Be enthusiastic and motivated, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with a wide variety of people. **_ Mō mātou - About us_** From July this year the Canterbury DHB transitioned across to Te Whatu Ora - Health NZ.
