In this role your main focus will be building strong customer relationships and selling a diverse range of flooring solutions to our commercial partners. You will need to be passionate about business development and always be on the lookout for prospective clients and projects. You will preferably have a background in the flooring or building/construction industry (or a closely related field). You will already have strong track record in achieving sales and/or already know who the key players are in the market.
You will manage commercial and trade customers, be responsible for sales and margin budgets for nominated accounts and work to build your portfolio and acquire new customers and accounts. You will manage commercial projects from the initial enquiry to the specification, quotation, installation and post-service follow ups. Presenting to architects, builders and designers, you will feel comfortable preparing presentations and pricing as well as closing the sale. You will also work with the installation team so ensure project time-frames are adhered to.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Establish new commercial business and build client relationships while maintaining a customer base
- Manage projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget
- Ensure projects adhere to our quality assurance standards
- Measure, quantify and price jobs, follow up in a timely manner to close sales
- Conduct site visits and ensure teams adhere to H&S standards
- Prepare and manage commercial construction contract documentation
- Consult with customers in the showroom and on-site
- Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and industry trends
- Manage cost estimating and forecasting of projects
Previous experience in the construction/trade industry is beneficial, as is prior measuring/quantifying experience.
