Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for data-driven insights and public service? Join us as the **Senior Reporting and Insights Specialist**—a key role supporting operational excellence and continuous improvement across Auckland Council’s Animal Management Unit.
This is your chance to influence how we serve our communities and protect animal welfare by delivering high-quality reporting, programme coordination, and performance analysis.
You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders to support planning cycles, monitor progress, and provide insights that shape decision-making and drive efficiency.
From analysing data and supporting programme delivery to enhancing reporting frameworks and contributing to strategic initiatives, you’ll play a vital role in helping the Unit achieve its goals and deliver exceptional outcomes.

You’re an experienced professional with a sharp analytical mind and a collaborative spirit. With a strong background in programme coordination, reporting, and performance monitoring, you bring a proactive approach to solving problems and improving systems.
Your toolkit includes:
- Expertise in reporting, data analysis, and performance tracking
- Strong project coordination and planning skills
- Familiarity with health, safety, and wellbeing frameworks
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- A commitment to te ao Māori, integrating te reo and tikanga into your work
- Financial awareness and experience supporting budget tracking and reporting
- A relevant tertiary qualification and a full NZ driver’s license

Salary ranges from $102,000 - $120,000 per annum plus KiwiSaver and benefits.
