**Mō te tūnga | About the role**

This exciting opportunity is a Medical Secretary role that supports the Lipids Department and is ideal for someone who is a team player and has a customer centric approach.

In this role you will provide Medical Secretary support, which includes transcription duties. You will also be involved in managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders as well as other ad hoc administrative tasks.

This role is a permanent part time role, working 24 hours per week and will be based at Christchurch Hospital.

**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- Medical Secretary experience would be highly advantageous
- Experience in transcriptions would be very beneficial
- Knowledge of medical terminology (not essential)
- Data entry or typing skills (50 - 70 WPM)
- Great communication and relationship building skills
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Experience using a Patient Management System (SIPICS) would be an advantage
- Attention to detail and accuracy
