- 10+ years in data engineering, with deep expertise in data warehousing and architecture
- Proven experience leading technical teams and delivering complex data projects
- Advanced proficiency in Snowflake, SQL, and data modelling (e.g. star schema, data vault)
- Strong experience with ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like Azure Data Factory
- Familiarity with CI/CD environments, version control, and automation tools
- A user-centric approach to data design and reporting
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience mentoring and coaching within a technical team
- Preferred: Experience with tools like Power BI, Business Objects, DBT, WhereScape Red

As **Data Engineering Technical Manager**, you'll provide technical leadership to the Data Engineering team, guiding the design, build, and migration of SkyCity's data platforms. You'll be responsible for:

- Leading the implementation of Snowflake and decommissioning legacy systems
- Driving technical excellence and best practices across data architecture and engineering
- Collaborating with stakeholders to align data solutions with business needs
- Optimising data pipelines, performance, and cost efficiency
- Ensuring data integrity, governance, and audit-readiness
- Supporting innovation, continuous improvement, and team development

This is a hands-on role focused on delivery, influence, and enabling SkyCity to make data-driven decisions through a modern, scalable, and user-friendly data environment.
