**The Role**

It’s a challenging role, we’re not denying that. We expect our Project Directors to be key leaders within the office and driving best practice in all ways. But with challenge comes reward, as you’ll be backed to speak up, lead and help us work towards continual improvement. We relish being market leaders and we want a dynamic set of shoulders to take a place at the table.

**Here’s what we need from you**:

- Project leadership, and strong decision making is in your blood.
- You are a trusted advisor to your clients - they have your ear at all times.
- A desire to coach and mentor the next generation of project managers.
- A passion for sharing your knowledge, and empathy with your team to get the best out of them.
- An understanding of the power of a good team culture and how to get that.

**Your experience needs to include**:

- Proven strong leadership of project teams, ideally as a seasoned senior in a consultancy environment.
- Ability to build and grow relationships with clients and contractors.
- Business acumen - you need to know how to cost, plan, deliver and report on projects and internally.
- Experience in large scale project delivery across a diverse portfolio.
- The ability to challenge concepts, resolve problems and provide solutions.
- Engineer to Contract nous. Detailed contracts knowledge and a decisive negotiator.

**Your personal attributes need to include**:

- An ability to communicate at all levels in a way that engenders trust and respect.
- A belief in collaboration.
- Empathy with your team to get the best out of them.
- A self-awareness of your people management style and skills and a will for continual improvement.
