We have an opportunity for a **Project Director **to join the team to provide proactive project portfolio management on a number of exciting projects within the region and participate in securing future work.

Our team is currently working on numerous projects in the water, transport, aviation, architecture, structural, geotechnical and building services space. We have a solid client base in New Zealand and we are well connected to many other locations through our established relationships, expertise in project funding, technical capabilities, and broad company reach. We are actively growing our team and developing technical capabilities by expanding our services and creating great leadership and career building opportunities for our employees.

You will be joining a team of passionate individuals, many of them leaders in their field, who are also the owners of our business. This ownership is what sets us apart.

This role can be based in any of **our locations across NZ where we have a GHD office.**

**Working within our experienced group, this position offers a great variety of projects and will see you involved in**
- Managing and monitoring a team of project managers to deliver a portfolio of complex projects across the group and across New Zealand
- Liaising with and management of relevant stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
- Building client relationships and conducting business development activities, including preparation of proposals and bids
- Working closely with project teams, clients and contractor groups to ensure project requirements are met

**What you will bring to the team**
- Relevant qualifications or experience in delivering project portfolios, programmes or multiple project teams
- 5 years+ experience managing project portfolios, programmes or multiple project teams
- Understanding of project governance structures and risk management
- Experience of both providing technical recommendations for bids as well as writing and crafting proposals for projects
