Fire and Emergency New Zealand is a Crown Entity established on 1 July 2017 under the Fire and Emergency New Zealand Act 2017. The role of our new organisation is to reduce unwanted fires, respond to structural and vegetation fires and other emergencies including motor vehicle crashes, medical emergencies, hazardous substance related incidents, natural disasters and support increased community resilience.

**About the role**:
**What you’ll bring to the role**:

- Strong experience leading a team of IT professionals to provide Infrastructure services
- Understanding of basic financial processes e.g., WIP, GL, and invoicing and ordering, administration procedures and Company policy
- Experienced in network, storage and server Infrastructural architecture and design
- Experience working with cloud technology and implementation
- In-depth demonstrable skills in system and functional analysis and problem diagnostic, capability of producing high quality specification and documentation
- Leadership experience - strong minded and tenacious problem solver with the ability to keep a team united and working at an elevated level
- Extensive experience with SDLC and understanding of related processes and disciplines.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and able to plan and successfully manage workload to completion and within SLAs.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate (oral and written) to all levels of the organisation
- Extensive technical knowledge and proven track record of being responsible for planning, operating and managing life cycle management of IT infrastructure in a Microsoft environment encompassing enterprise server, storage hardware, Microsoft enterprise software, VMware and Citrix.
- Specialist skills in Microsoft Azure, Exchange and Office cloud services.
- Understand TCP/IP internetwork designs and routing that support infrastructure services.
