Logistics Team Leader

**Job description**

In this role, you will be responsible for all duties associated with the day-to-day logistics operations of the Auckland Head Office and motivating, coaching, inspiring, training and directing the warehouse/distribution team member, including but not limited
- Picking and packing orders of chilled/frozen/ambient products for daily delivery
- Hand-loading and unloading goods to/from the vehicle
- Monitoring inventory levels in the multiple warehouses and tracking inbound and outbound orders to prevent overstocking and out-of-stocking
- Organising stocktakes as required and other stock control measures providing direction to logistics staff and ensuring stock accuracy
- Driving forklifts for loading, unloading, shelving and handling warehouse goods
- Negotiating and dealing with external supply chain logistics companies to maximize Tokyo Foods benefits
- Monitoring each team members work progress and managing their motivation appropriately to deliver the expected outcomes.

Full-time permanent employee

**Compensation**

$29.66 - $32.00 per hour

**Minimum guaranteed hours of work**

40 hours per week

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience in the logistic services industry, such as distribution, transport and/or warehousing facilities.
- Extensive experience using ERP (e.g., NetSuite) and WMS (e.g., RF-Smart) in logistics operations is a big advantage
- Ideally an MPI Accredited Person
- Basic knowledge of the Japanese language, food and business practices is advantageous as most of the products are sourced from Japan, but not essential.
- Having an in-depth knowledge of the food and beverage supply chain logistics of both cross-border as well as domestic trading is an advantage but not essential as training will be provided.
- NZ full drivers licence or appropriate overseas licence is required as this role may include delivering goods and driving to suppliers or external warehouses to collect products as required.
- Forklift licence, but not essential as training will be provided.
- Physically fit and strong as heavy (25kg+) lifting and carrying are involved.
- Well-developed communication and listening skills
