Warehouse Distribution Team Leader

You will ensure responsible business practices and service levels are maintained and that policies and processes are adhered too. This will involve the safe operation of the warehouse and yard areas, efficient and accurate inwards and outwards goods, inventory accuracy and site management. Customer engagement is another aspect of this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Running an efficient warehouse operation to fulfil operational and customer demands.
  • Ensure inventory in area of responsibility is accurate
  • Ensure inventory in area of responsibility is accurate
  • Ensure stock movements are recorded accurately
  • Improve warehouse performance by cross training floor staff to work all aspects of the warehouse to enable effective personal/annual/long service leave management.
  • Allocation of resources and delegates tasks / projects in a way that supports and stretches team members to achieve desired individual and team outcomes.

Key Attributes

  • At least, 3 years of experience in a Warehouse/DC Manager / Supervisor or similar role; preferably as a Team Leader or Supervisor
  • Can Lead by example. Coaches and develops team members to be their best. Demonstrates ability to achieve results through their team.
  • Ability to identify obvious damage to products and equipment through visual inspection and ensure products are picked, packed and despatched correctly and in line with requests and instructions.
  • Ability to handle weights up to 20 kg, and work in uncomfortable physical positions, and on hard surfaces.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills to ensure instructions and processes are understood and followed and forms are filled out easily and accurately.
