**About Us**
Ritchies has been keeping New Zealand moving for over 85 years. As one of the country’s leading transport operators, we’re proud to connect communities every day.
We’re on an exciting journey of digital transformation. With major investment in technology, we’re reshaping how we deliver public transport, building smarter, safer, and more efficient services for the future.
**About the Role**
As our Scheduling Systems Analyst, you’ll sit at the centre of this transformation. You’ll be responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of our scheduling data. From payroll to performance dashboards, your work will power smarter decisions at every level of the business.
This role blends technical expertise with problem-solving and collaboration. You will manage and maintain HASTUS datasets, design reports, and produce dashboards.
**What You’ll Be Doing**
- Maintain and audit HASTUS datasets, including importing datasets, cleansing, and integration with rostering and payroll.
- Develop dashboards, KPIs, and operational reporting (e.g. PVR, dead running, working hours) to support operations, tendering, and leadership decisions.
- Partner with schedulers, planners, IT, and depot teams to deliver accurate extracts, seamless integrations, and clear technical guidance.
- Improve processes through documentation, compliance, and automation — reducing manual error and increasing efficiency.
- Actively promote Health & Safety in all aspects of your work.
**Why This Role is Exciting**
- Be part of Ritchies’ digital transformation and help shape scheduling systems from the ground up
- Take ownership of data quality in a role where accuracy really matters
- Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, making a visible impact on both daily operations and long-term planning
- Gain exposure to leading-edge scheduling and analytics practices in the transport industry
**About You**
You’re a detail-focused problem-solver who combines technical ability with clear communication. You enjoy working with complex datasets and can turn data into insights that make sense to non-technical audiences.
You’ll bring:
- Strong database management and quality control skills
- Advanced Excel, SQL, and scripting (Python/macros) capability
- A sharp eye for anomalies and operational logic
- Excellent communication skills — concise, clear, and audience-aware
**It’s a bonus if you have**:
- Hands-on experience with HASTUS or similar scheduling software
- Exposure to public transport scheduling, operational performance, or workflow automation
**What We Offer**
- A chance to play a key role in Ritchies’ technology transformation
- Real ownership of data systems that underpin essential transport services
- Opportunities to innovate and improve scheduling and reporting processes
- Competitive salary and benefits, with flexibility around working arrangements
- A workplace that values safety, continuous improvement, and innovation
- don’t hesitate to join Team Ritchies
