The Electoral Commission is looking for Senior Systems Analysts and Systems Analysts to join the Information Technology team. You will be part of a great, supportive, and fun group enhancing the Commissions digital capabilities as it seeks to modernise the way we deliver electoral events and maintain our electoral rolls. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who want to create an energetic and committed team.

You will mature and develop our capabilities in software design, testing, and operations to support ongoing activities and to deliver an event critical to our democracy.

You are a seasoned technology systems professional, ready to take responsibility for critical information systems and services that support our election capabilities. You thrive on finding solutions to complex business problems, while ensuring these align to strategic goals. Your confidence shines in bringing clarity to development teams as equally as working with non-technical stakeholders.
- Have proven experience in managing and integrating complex IT systems to meet business requirements.
- Demonstrated expertise in service level management with a focus on performance measurement and reporting.
- Proven ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with stakeholders at all levels, as well as mentor junior team members.

Summary of Key Responsibilities
- Design software solutions to meet organisational needs following prescribed solution architectures and standards.
- Be the product owner for one or more significant and complex software products or services and manage the product roadmaps.
- Lead development teams to achieve the implementation of new features, capabilities, and enhancements as part of a regular release cycle.
- Mentor and upskill Systems Analysts while creating resilience and knowledge transfer within the team.
- Proven ability in analysing and documenting requirements.
- Demonstrated knowledge of quality assurance processes and ability to undertake testing activities.

- Lead work packages for development teams, managing system changes and enhancements via regular recycles.
- Define and manage scope, requirements and prioritisation for moderate changes and assist in more complex change initiatives.
- Be the product owner for one or more software products or services and align activities to the product roadmaps.
