We are looking for ambassadors for** Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour** as** Food & Beverage Supervisor. **The ambassador should an eye for detail, a passion for creating magnifique luxury experience for our guests and developing a wonderful team.

Minimum Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours per week

**_ Location: Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour. 21 Viaduct Harbour Ave, Auckland CBD 1010_**

Our Ambassador will:

- Be accountable on a shift basis for the operations of the outlet through effective people management. This role is ‘hands on’, working as part of a team to provide efficient 5 star service. In charge of functions and events.
- Demonstrate ‘ownership’ of the outlet through commitment to the following areas of responsibility.
- Perform basic day-to-day food and beverage service.
- Supervision support and ongoing training to employees to ensure standards and procedures are observed to provide a consistent, high level of service for all customer contact.
- Supervision of the bar/restaurant/café/function areas and activities.
- Ensuring dining facilities comply with health regulations and are clean, functional and of suitable appearance.
- May take reservations, greet guests and assist in taking orders
- Provide best quality of food and beverage service to customers, maximising every opportunity to increase sales per person.
- Liaise with kitchen staff in relation to ‘product’ for the outlet, ensuring that quality and quantities are maintained to required standards.
- Observing liquor and other laws and regulations.
- Maintain standards of hygiene for food handling and presentation as prescribed by council / legislative regulations, in accordance with the hotel’s Food Safety Plan.
- Liaise with Restaurant Reservations as to upcoming bookings / time frames and maximum number of people at one period.

**Qualifications**
- At least 1-2 year experience in bar at a luxury 5 star hotel in a customer service facing role is a bonus
- Previous experience in Fine dining breakfast and dinner service is a bonus
- Previous experience in luxury banqueting service is a bonus
- Previous experience in Barista and Café style service is a bonus
- Knowledge on French cuisine gastronomy and wine beverages
- Use of PMS - Infrays is a bonus
- Strong presentation and organisation skills
- Ability to work in the fast paced environment and be proactive
- Previous hotel or administration experience
- Positive bubbly personality
- Tertiary Qualification in Hospitality and Tourism
