**Branch Manager 2IC -**

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Branch 2IC who is a self-motivated leader to join our team in Palmerston North.

**The opportunity**

Reporting to the Branch Manager, this role is responsible for the day-to-day running of the Palmerston North branch and region. You will ensure that all aspects of the operations, from maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction to daily sustaining operational standards, are met while liaising with corporate stakeholders.

**The key accountabilities of the role will include but are not limited to the following**:

- Generate and monitor KPIs, analysing their performance and comparing against set targets and budget.
- Maintaining exceptional health and safety, security, and compliance standards
- Ensure all processes, systems, and policies are understood and followed by your team.
- All staff recruited, are inducted, are trained and given the tools to perform at a high level. Discuss KPIs with all staff so they understand appropriate targets and are monitored to assess their performance in their respective functions.
- Assist staff with the effective and efficient completion of their duties. Assess capability and productivity regularly and initiate actions including training to develop a high performing team.
- Collect and analyse appropriate data for tracking of daily and monthly measurements / KRA. Identify improvements to reduce the cost to the business.
- Ensure operational activities remain on time and within a defined budget
- Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing team that meets agreed objectives and delivers best practice results.
- Sets direction and strategies with a focus on continuous improvement within the department to develop a successful performance platform
- Review and allocate run / mail changes where required, cut run changes to ensure mail delivery standards are maintained to achieve continuous improvement with regard to service delivery and cost efficiency.

This is a Permanent Full-time position, Monday to Friday (With some Saturday work - negotiable) - 8:30am to 4:00pm.
