**Summer Assistant Vacancy - People & Capability (Fixed term - 14 weeks)**:

- Applications are now open for our Toi Moana Summer Experience Programme, running from 17 November 2025 to 4 February 2026.
- Opportunity to gain valuable paid work experience in local government.
- A 12 week Programme with opportunities to contribute to our projects and help Toi Moana deliver our community outcomes.
- Start 2 weeks early and get a head start on the Summer Experience Programme planning.

**Te Tūranga - The Role**:
Our People & Capability Team is proud to be supporting our Summer Experience Programme for another yearand we need your help with some people related projects

Day to day you will be supporting us with our current projects, including:

- Coordinating the Toi Moana Summer Experience Programme, ensuring all our Summer Assistants are supported and provided with a great experience at Toi Moana (BOPRC).
- Working within our People Solutions team getting exposure to P&C administration.
- Complete a project related to our new Sharepoint system that will enable greater efficiencies for our team.
- Reviewing our key P & C pages on Tarai, ensuring they are updated and accurate.
- Assisting with other administration and ad-hoc tasks

You will also:

- Be confident and capable of facilitating learning and networking opportunities.
- Engaging, organised and technology savvy
- An ability to deal confidentially with sensitive information.
- Community, cultural and political awareness, including awareness and knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
- Be studying a degree in Human Resources or related qualification or have an equivalent body of knowledge obtained through experience.
- Hold a current driver's licence.

This position will be located in Tauranga.
